Most people love vacationing at a beautiful resort and enjoy golf, swimming, fine dining, strolling along the beach, hitting the slopes, or perhaps luxuriating at the spa. Then it's time to come home - back to reality...
Unless, of course, the resort is home. Across the Valley, a particular kind of residence has blurred the line entirely: houses designed around the amenities most of us travel to find, in communities where the golf course, the spa, and the concierge are simply part of the address.
The appeal is not extravagance for its own sake. It is the quiet luxury of never having to pack a bag to feel looked after - of waking each morning to the view, and the pace, that other people book a year in advance.
